Competence: Competence means having the required knowledge to perform a particular job. We must try to acquire as much business and technical knowledge as possible related to our job.
Good Communication Skills: Communication means having good oral and written communication skills. These skills are important for carrying out interactions, especially with clients.
Understanding. In terms of professionalism, understanding means being familiar with the practices and policies of our company. One needs to understand our organization's practices and policies and carry them out in a way that maintains good human relations with other employees.
Human relations. How well do we get along with our fellow co-workers? Human relations involve the way we get along with other people. This means we should cooperate with fellow employees, work well as a member of a team or a group, and be careful not to speak negatively about supervisors and co-workers.
Confidentiality. As an administrative support professional, we may have access to personal information about customers and other employees. Confidentiality means that we should not speak about the information you encounter.
Remember, if we want to get ahead in today's business office, we need to present ourselves in a professional manner.
